Will the green dot help if I have astigmatism?
Many shooters with astigmatism find green dots easier to see with less distortion and bloom compared to red dots, though individual experiences vary. The green light at around 540 nm interacts differently with the eye, often resulting in a crisper, less blurry reticle for astigmatic users. However, significant astigmatism can still cause some reticle distortion regardless of color.
How does the Solar Failsafe actually work in real-world conditions?
Solar Failsafe automatically powers the optic using ambient light through the solar panel on top of the sight when in Auto Mode. If the CR1632 battery fails, the sight will continue to operate as long as there is sufficient natural or artificial light. In complete darkness or without battery power, the reticle will not illuminate. This system works best outdoors or in well-lit environments, providing reliable backup power; however, maintaining a fresh battery is still recommended for optimal performance and consistent brightness. The reticle brightness also adjusts automatically based on available light conditions to ensure visibility.
Do I need to re-zero when switching between the dot, circle, and circle-dot reticles?
No re-zeroing is required when switching between reticle options. All three reticle configurations (2 MOA dot only, 32 MOA circle only, or combined circle-dot) are projected from the same LED emitter, so your zero remains consistent regardless of which reticle you select. This allows you to adapt your aiming system to different situations without the time-consuming process of re-zeroing your optic.
